Its story
After more than three years of restoration, we are proud to present this 1965 Ferrari 275 GTB/2 ‘short nose’.
Chassis no. 6897 was ordered in Rosso Cina with black leather and delivered in March 1965 to the official Ferrari dealer Crepaldi in Milan, Italy.
This car is the 37th to be produced. It was originally delivered in Rosso Cina with Conolly Pelle Sera VM 8500 leather.
The car remained in Italy for a few years before being sold by Mr Burci to Peter Herbet in England in 1968.
In the late 1990s, the car was purchased by Michel Zuchuat, a Ferrari dealer in Sion, Switzerland.
It was then sold to Mr Gasser in Switzerland before being repurchased by Mr Zuchuat in May 2010.
Ferrari Classiche certification was applied for by the Ferrari dealer in 2011 and granted in 2013. In 2024, the car remains, as it was at the time, with a fully matching engine and gearbox.
The car was subsequently sold in 2013 by Ferrari Lausanne to Mr JP Viellevoye.
We purchased the car directly from Mr Viellevoye in December 2019 on behalf of our current client, the car’s owner, who decided to undertake a complete restoration.
The car was therefore fully restored in France by a meticulous specialist, starting with the bodywork being stripped back to bare metal. The engine was completely rebuilt, as were all parts of the running gear.
The final stages of the restoration were carried out by Toni Autos in Maranello to ensure strict adherence to the original specifications.
The complete historical file of invoices, totalling €400,000, is available.
This is an opportunity to acquire one of the most iconic models among classic Ferraris: this 275 GTB/2 Short Nose, with a clear history and provenance, and in mint condition.
